Information and Safety Measures

March 22, 2021 Update

Cultural Activities:

All pre-show cultural activities are temporarily closed for covid-19 safety. To reduce contact between guests and staff, coconut leaf headbands will be pre-weaved and given to guests. All other activity stations are closed with the exception of Hula Lessons, which take place at guest's individual tables. Subject to change without notice in order to adhere to Hawaii's covid-19 restrictions and guidelines.

February 25, 2021 Update

As the island of Oahu moves into Tier 3 of our covid recovery plan, we have made the following operational adjustments in addition to our November 20, 2020 Update below.

Seating & Attendance:

Each reservation will be seated at a private table, limited to no more than 10-people (increased from 5) and will be spread no less than 6 ft. apart. Luau attendance will be limited to the recommended sq. ft. capacity.

November 20, 2020 Update

Ka Moana Luau will re-open on December 1st, 2020 with the below adjustments. Please be sure to check back on this page frequently for future updates!

Change in Operation

Online & Phone Reservations:

All Luau reservations must be made in advance online or by phone to minimize interaction and contact/cash handling at check-in.

Seating & Attendance:

Each reservation will be seated at a private table, limited to no more than 5-people and will be spread no less than 6 ft. apart. Luau attendance will be limited to the recommended sq. ft. capacity.

Masks & Social Distancing:

Guests will be required to socially distance themselves from other parties as much as possible. All guests will be required to wear a face mask/covering while on property, unless actively eating or drinking. Floor markings and social distancing signage will be posted wherever lines form within the Luau grounds.

Cultural Activities:

Cultural activities will take place, socially distanced, apart from the hula implements station, ukulele lessons and temporary tattoo station, which will temporarily be closed.

Luau Buffet:

Dinner buffet will be called by table and staff-served, by staff members trained in new Health & Safety procedures. Complimentary beverage station (water, juice, tea) station will also be staff-served.

March 17, 2020 Update

After assessing the COVID-19 situation in Hawaii, Ka Moana Luau will be temporarily closed until further notice, as of Tuesday March 17th. As we continue to carefully monitor Hawaii State and Government recommendations we are working towards announcing a re-opening plan including updated cleaning procedures, staff guidelines and safety precautions for our guests, as well as an official re-opening date.
